The Fast Supper is a food van with a difference!  We deliver a nutritious meal and groceries once a week to those living in need in South Melbourne.

The fast supper brings together young people of different backgrounds to volunteer in the Hope Mobile, a food van associated with the Father Bob Maguire Foundation’s community outreach program.  We serve meals from the Hare Krishna community and groceries

collected by Second Bite, a secular food rescue organisation.  It’s a real example of what we can achieve if we work together!  Run entirely by young people our volunteers represent most faith and non-faith backgrounds. Some of the volunteers were graduates from InterActions leadership program.

The Fast Supper is more than just making healthy food free. It’s also about breaking down barriers between people and broadening the conversation!  The Fast Supper is a chance for young people to give back to the community.  A space for people of different backgrounds to come together to help others.  It’s about social justice.  It’s about people. And it’s fun!  We are always on the lookout for new volunteers.  Currently the van goes out 5:30pm – 7:30pm on Wednesday in South Melbourne.
